2 tsp of turmeric
1 tsp of soya sauce
1 cup of rice
1 1/2 cup of water
1 tsp of oil
Blend the onion.
In a large saucepan heat the oil over medium heat.
Add the onion, soya sauce and turmeric.
Cook for 30s to 1 min.
Add the rice, stir, and heat for 1min.
Add the water and bring to boiling point.
Reduce the heat and cover.
Cook until the water is absorb.
Comment: A another solution is to use safran instead of curcuma. Use one flower of safran. The colour would be bright yellow to light orange. And it has a powerful taste. This solution is quite expensive though. See here.
