Bright yellow rice (saffron)


1 flower of saffron or three filament
1/2 onion
1 cup of rice
1 1/2 cup of water
1 tsp of oil

Blend the onion.
In a large saucepan heat the oil over medium heat.
Add the onion and saffron.
Cook for 30s to 1 min.
Add the rice, stir, and heat for 1min.
Add the water and bring to boiling point.
Reduce the heat and cover.
Cook until the water is absorb.
Enjoy!

Comment: A another solution is to use turmeric instead of saffron. The colouring is lighter but this solution is cheaper. See here.
