1 cup of black beans
1 cup of sugar
1 tsp of soy sauce
3 cup of water.
Let the black beans soak for one night with the three cups of water.
Bring the black beans to boil with the soaking water.
Reduce the heat and simmer for 4-5 minutes.
Sieve. Cover with fresh water and cook for 30-40 minutes.
The beans should be tender and crush in your finger.
Add the sugar and simmer over low heat for 15 minutes.
Add the soy sauce and cook briefly.
Set aside to cool.
